It bamboozles politicians. They make the stupid and short-sighted laws they PRETEND are designed to “stop gun violence,” but actually INCREASES it, and then somebody comes along with something they didn't think about, like “printed guns.” Soon, you'll be able to inexpensively buy a device much like a Xerox printer that will “print” 3D parts for whatever kind of a gun you want, without all the government-mandated folderol—and they can't figure out what to do about it. They BAN certain types of ammunition, forgetting that people can make whatever type of ammunition they want (or import it), using inexpensive machinery in their garages. Americans are (thankfully) way ahead of the politicians, at all times. And they don't know what to do about that, so they bluster around and make unenforceable laws that do just the opposite of what they intend, doing nothing but INCREASE gun violence.
