Nobody Showed Up

Anti-gun fools had a "mass gathering" of other anti-gun fools and only about a dozen fools showed up. Others most likely realized (finally) that their usual anti-gun fool actions are USELESS and no longer wanted to waste their time and money. I've heard of a number of such failed gatherings recently, as more and more people realize that their ideas don't work. "No-gin zones," for instance: take a look at how many instances of gun violence they have stopped: NONE. Potential shooters SEEK OUT "no-gun zones" in which to do their dirty work because they know that law-abiding people will leave their guns at home, making them "easy targets." Then there ae the simple criminals who want to rob people who go there for the same reason, They're less likely to be shot and killed by their intened victims there, and they know it. Then there are their highly advertised "gun registries" that do nothing but register the law-abiding, leaving the field open to ILLEGAL gun owners to victimize them. The problem is, as I've pointed out many times, that ALL their laws and regulations DEPEND on lawbreakers to OBEY their laws, when they obey no others. They think that lawbreakers will somehow decide to obey their laws while violating all others. Stupid. (WCJB 20)

Who's Really to Blame?

Netflix Talk Show Host Chelsea Handler throws blame for mass shootings everywhere but where it belongs, as do most other anti-gun fools. Basically, she blames the NRA and the Republicans, because they "failed" to pass the usually USELESS anti-gun laws that do NOTHING to "stem gun violence." Instead, it is those laws that are to blame, because they specifically DISARM the law-abiding, making them "easy targets" for the criminals, crazies, and Islamic terrorists, who routinely IGNORE those useless laws. It is not the law-abiding that are most likely to shoot up a school and kill a bunch of children. But you can't tell them that. Their minds are made up, so don't confuse them with facts. Damn, I get so tired of all the CLUELESS anti-gun fools coming out and blaming people who are really trying to enact laws and regulations that WORK, rather than the anti-gun fools' laws that do not, and only CONTRIBUTE to the "gun violence" by disarming the law-abiding. And they recoil at the very mention of arming the law-abiding, so they can kill a bunch of ILLEGAL gun holders and thereby reduce "gun violence." Dead thugs don't kill many people. That's a fact. 2nd Amendment A "Privilege?"

That's what the governor of Arkansas thinks. Seems like all the other provisions in the "Bill of Rights" are RIGHTS, but the Second is "just a privilege." He spouts that nonsense to excuse his trying to make unconstitutional laws that violate the Constitution. He says he "supports gun rights with reasonable limits." But ANY limits on the right of all Americans to own and use guns for self defense is an "abridgment," which is PROHIBITED by that Second Amendment, which IS a right. Anybody trying to say it is not is a LIAR and a fool. Anti-gun fools have, for years, tried to make the Second Amendment useless, without much success. Those willfully violating its provisions (or even ATTEMPTING to, should be arrested, tried, and imprisoned. That is one basic FLAW in the Constitution, that those lawmakers who willfully violate the Constitution are not subject to arrest and imprisonment for trying, or succeeding in getting laws passed that violate the Constitution. The only thing they suffer is the INDIGNITY of having their laws declared unconstitutional and reversed, after sometimes YEARS of them being enforced. And the effects of that enforcement last a long time after the law itself is declared unconstitutional. (Arkansas Online)

Making Stupid Mandatory

The members of the NJ Assembly and Senate of New Jersey are obviously too stupid to live, They want to make gun buybacks MANDATORY even though they have to know they don't work. The bill has passed the Assembly and will probably pass the Senate. The new governor will most likely sign it, since he is a known gun-grabber. They want 9 a year as a matter of LAW. Nine times conning people into "turning in" valuable guns for a PITTANCE, many of which will end up on the black market, sold for big bucks to criminals, with which to commit more "gun crimes." Meanwhile criminals and gang members (a repetition in terms, that) will "dutifully" turn in their old, useless guns and get money to buy new guns, that work. All in all, a lot of tax money will be spent, with NO result except to INCREASE gun crime. And they will do it 9 times a year while patting themselves on the back for "getting guns off the street." The lawmakers in the northeastern states generally are as stupid as they come (They RE liberals, after all). Stupidity seems to affect most of them, and they prove it every time they advance laws that DO NOT WORK, over and over again. Doing which is the very DEFINITION of insanity, but they can't understand that To understand that would take INTELLIGENCE, which they don't have. (Bullets First)

Asking My Advice

Anonymous is asking me about various blogging platforms, and what I think of them. I know nothing about the ones he mentions, and especially about what "movable type" is in this context. One even asked if I had to use coding. The answer is, no. The platform handles that in a WISIWIG fashion. Nobody, it seems, who writes about posts on "The Unarmed Citizen" is willing to write under his/her name, and many (I think it's the same guy) include URLs to their web sites, which gets the post rejected. They keep asking me what platform i use, failing to notice that I'm using Blogger (you can tell by the URL), and have been satisfied with them for many years. Though there is one problem. I can't seem to answer any of their posts, because it gets rejected. If they'd just notice my e-mail address at the top, they could e-mail me direct. (Just common sense)

Cop Killer Sanctuary

Denver, Colorado (where I live) is a "sanctuary city." It's mayor even snubbed the president when he invited sanctuary city mayors to a meeting in DC to discuss them. And every city around them has been put in danger because of it. And that has caused the deaths of TWO cops in less than a month in the Denver suburbs. The earlier one in the south of town in an area called "Highlands Ranch." The second one north of town in a city called Northglenn. Both went on calls that sounded harmless and walked into a trap. I don't know yet who the shooter was in Northglenn, but It'd be a good bet he is a young gang member, many of whom were recruited from the ranks of illegal aliens whom the Denver mayor so diligently "protects.

And I'm absolutely sure they were killed as a result of the inflammatory rhetoric of the anti-cop "Black Lives Matter" fools, who should all be arrested for making "terrorist threats," but have not been for some reason or other. We need to stop coddling these criminals and start putting them in prison for their crimes. The killer in this case was captured, not killed, as the one on the south side was. Too bad. He deserved "no quarter," and puts the lie to the BLM rhetoric, that the cops are looking for reasons to kill people, particularly black people. They had every right to kill this person, but they didn't. Now we watch, while the anti-gun fools again jump on this and try to get even more of their USELESS laws passed to disarm law-abiding people and make them even more defenseless, without even ASKING if the gun the killer used was legally owned. They're At It Again

After the Kentucky school shooting, done by a 15 year old boy who cannot legally buy a gun, anyway, the anti-gun fools are hooting and hollering to make even more of the useless. redundant, and futile anti-gun laws that didn't prevent this shooting. It's what they always do: after every shooting, they insist on getting more and more of those laws made. That they do NOTHING to stop further such shootings is obvious to INTELLIGENT people, but not to them. They decry the only thing that will stop, or at least reduce the likelihood of further such shootings, allowing people who legally can carry their guns to bring them to school with them. They're afraid those law-abiding people will "go wild" and shoot up the landscape, as did the killers who sparked the making of their stupid laws. I don't know what drives these fools. It may be something in the air they breathe--something that doesn't affect intelligent people, only the stupid. But, like the poor, they seem to always be with us. (AmmoLand)

Unenforceable Regulations

The ATF has taken it upon itself to come out with a "regulation" that bans ALL ways to "increase the rate of fire" of a gun. It does not mention the "bump stock" by name, but the reg covers every conceivable method to increase the rate of fire in ANY gun. Kind of a "catch-all" reg that could spell DOOM for the Second Amendment, while not specifically reversing it. Reminds me of an old gun law in California (which may still be in effect, I don't know) that defines a firearm as "anything that can be projected toward a person that can do him harm." Or words to that effect. In my mind, that includes my fist, which can do so. If so, I must LICENSE my fist. The same applies to a fart, which, in my case, can easily damage somebody if he or she is "in range." The point is, it is yet another way to circumvent the Second Amendment, and it was done WITHOUT input from the Congress. In other words, it is NOT a LAW, just a REGULATION. Bureaucratic "takeover" and UNLAWFUL. A bureaucratic agency CANNOT legally do such a thing, since EVERY regulation must be to DETAIL enforcement of a LAW. (Truth About Guns)

He's Got It Right!

At last! A politician who isn't stupid! Most of them like to make STUPID gun laws and pat themselves on the back while criminals have no trouble getting their guns from other criminals in a back alley somewhere while IGNORING those laws. The mayor in Warner Robbins, GA is telling his citizens to carry their guns after a string of robbery/murders recently. He knows that the best defense against ILLEGAL guns is A LEGAL gun in the hand of a law-abiding citizen. This can result in a significant REDUCTION in gun crime by ILLEGAL gun owners being KILLED by LEGAL gun owners when they attempt to victimize them. And studies have shown that few criminals kill people when they're dead. It's something most politicians just do not understand, as they go about making their USELESS "gun laws" that criminals IGNORE. Arming honest people is the ONLY way I know of to reduce crime. Disarming yourself is NOT the way to self defense, and this mayor knows it. Why other politicians continue to resist this idea, I don't know. I guess they're just STUPID. Background Checks Futile?

I read an article that tells us that background checks ARE futile. Something intelligent people already knew, but anti-gun fools do not. They talk about increased gun thefts being responsible, and they are--in part. But they are only a small part of the problem. The theory is that if a registered gun owner knows his name is on a list, he will think twice about using his gun in a crime. Which ignores, entirely, the fact that people who wish to do criminal acts do not register their guns, nor submit to a background check. They just buy their guns illegally in a back alley somewhere, or just steal it. Their names never even get NEAR a background check list or a gun registration list. Sure, there are laws against owning guns that the government doesn't know about. But that doesn't bother criminals. If they plan much more serious crimes, they don't concern themselves with relatively minor crimes like unauthorized gun ownership or carrying. The whole gun control thing as we know it is futile, for the same reason. If you were a criminal with an unregistered gun you were carrying without a carry permit, would you be concerned about bringing your gun into a "gun-fee zone?" Or properly storing your gun at home? Anti-Gun Fools Jump

The other day, a deputy US Marshal was killed, and several others were wounded while trying to serve an arrest warrant. And immediately, without waiting for the facts, the anti-gun fools jumped all over it, criticizing a Senator for not passing anti-gun fool laws. They didn't wait to see if the gun used to kill the deputy was legally registered or not, or whether or not the killer had stood for a background check. If he hadn't done either, or had gotten his gun illegally, NO anti-gun laws would have even slowed him down in obtaining his gun. Since the guy was so quick to start shooting, one can assume he did none of those things except getting his gun illegally. The article linked here said nothing about the fate of the killer, but I think we can assume he was at least captured, but more probably killed. The deputies were not expecting trouble, but often it comes, "out of the blue." Which is why ALL politicians who want ro DISARM the cops are totally ignorant and have no right to be in any office. Someone could open up on a cop at any time, and if they don't have guns, they would be like those unarmed French cops who could do nothing except cower behind their cars while a couple of terrorists killed 11 people for drawing a PICTURE of the "Muslim prophet." Typical Anti-Gun Ignorance

They're having a bake sale in San Diego and many other places, "to end gun violence." Like that's going to be any more effective than their "common sense gun laws" that do NOTHING to reduce gun violence, and instead INCREASE it by disarming law-biding people so they'll be "easy targets" for those ILLEGAL gun holders who want to victimize them. It's sponsored by "MOMS Against Guns" (or something like that), and they really think that will actually DO something to reduce gun violence. Actually, there are only a couple of things that will have ANY effect on gun violence, and they won't hear of one of them, while laws that support the other do not get enforced. They are the laws causing longer sentences for those using guns in committing a crime. They are commonly used as "bargaining chips" to get convictions in other crimes. That's just sloppy policing and prosecuting, but they don't know that. The other is allowing the law-abiding (who aren't likely to be the problem) to be armed in self defense. But they ignore the millions of ILLEGAL guns already out there and only fear the law-abiding being armed. Stupid. "Cuz Obama's Gone"

"Experts" are telling us that the DECREASE in gun sales in Virginia is due to Obama not being in office any more. "Experts" are rarely right, but nobody seems to notice. But in this case, they're "right on." People no longer fear a major federal law coming down the pike to take away their guns, since Trump would veto any such bill before it can become law. Other "experts" poo-poo that idea, saying the decrease is a "natural phenomenon." They're right, too. It IS "natural" with such as Trump in office to put a stop to every silly gun law that does nothing except make the law-abiding, who OBEY laws, DEFENSELESS against the ILLEGAL guns in the hands of criminals, who do NOT obey laws. The anti-gun fools will never tumble to the inarguable FACT that their laws do NOTHING except to make it easier for criminals to victimize the law-abiding, with their illegal guns. I Just Don't Understand!

Every year there is a new crop of anti-gun fools going to Congress and proposing new versions of all the old, tired, USELESS gun laws that do NOTHING to "curb gun violence." None of them ever come up with something new, and especially nothing EFFECTIVE. They have to know none of their fool laws work, but they keep making them. It doesn't matter how many times their fool laws are PROVEN to be useless, they insist on continuing to make new ones that can't be told from the old ones. One of their favorites is the "gun registry," where law-abiding gun owners register their guns while lawbreakers do NOT. How that stops gun violence is a mystery to intelligent people, but not to those ignorant anti-gun fools. Another of their favorites is the "gun-free zone," which, again, only affects the law-abiding, while the lawbreakers bring their guns and have a "field day" robbing and killing those law-abiding people who leave their guns at home. Again, they KNOW that doesn't work, but they keep making them. Are they just STUPID, or what? (Just common sense)

I Told Ya So!

It has been said that an anti-gun fool was just a liberal who hasn't been robbed at gunpoint. The story I just read is priceless! It's about a New York City comedian who was against guns all his life. Then he was robbed at gunpoint. He quivered in fear as he looked down the enormous barrel (it seemed) of the gun in the mugger's hand, then handed over his cell phone. Then the bad guy ran off, and this liberal anti-gun fool underwent a significant change in attitude. He now wants to get a gun, and a "carry permit." It's a fact that sometimes ignorant liberals wise up fast when looking down the barrel of a gun in the hand of a criminal or a terrorist. Another way to put it is that once ignorant liberals often change their tunes when real life intervenes. Would that this happen in other areas, too. Unfortunately, liberals live in their own little worlds, and take pains never o have to hear "a discouraging word," They have their own little "safe spaces" where non-liberal words are not allowed. And they gather together to "scream at the sky," thinking this will change things in their favor. That it never does seems not to dawn on them. They just keep screaming. (WUSA 9)

"Capturing the Essence"

One of the candidates for the Illinois Attorney General's office went into Chicago with a camera crew to "capture the essence of the city." And DID he! He was robbed at gunpoint and his camera crew lost their cameras, sound equipment, their cell phones, and all their money. I can say, without fear of contradiction by intelligent people that being a victim of gun violence is definitely "the essence of Chicago." Can you say "irony?" A politician learned, first hand, that all their stringent gun laws do NOTHING to reduce gun violence. I should ask him if he asked the thugs if their guns were registered, and if they actually bought them legally. Probably not. Maybe that will actually be a lesson to him, and he will maybe find a REAL way to curb gun violence in Chicago. Probably not. He will probably become a full-fledged anti-gun fool, as do many non-thinking politicians. One constant with anti-gun fools is, they never learn by experience. Gun Laws Work, Huh?

Anti-gun fools are convinced they do, in spite of repeated evidence that they don't. Example: Chicago, which has some of the toughest gun laws in the nation, has also the highest gun death numbers in the country. California is an even larger example of anti-gun fool ignorance. They too, have very tough gun laws over the whole state. Yet recently, they figured out that there were 10,000 (or more) guns in the possession of people who should not be allowed NEAR a gun. Whoa! Does that mean that those people IGNORED their "gun laws?" I don't believe it! Or I wouldn't if I were an anti-gun fool. Right after the Sandy Hook massacre, they had a "crackdown" that netted 18,000 guns in the possession of people like felons, those convicted of domestic violence, or those adjudged dangerously mentally ill. How did those people get those guns? ILLEGALLY, of course. None of their highly vaunted gun laws did ANYTHING to keep guns out of the hands of those people. That should tell the anti-gun fools something, but it doesn't. They're convinced that their approach is proper, and you couldn't get through their thick skulls with a jackhammer. (Bearing Arms)

Profiling Is Good

Liberals hate profiling--any kind of profiling. they whine that the cops profile only black males, because they're black. They think ANY kind of profiling should be banned. Profiling, if used right, is a valuable tool for the cops. It allows them to notice things that tell them a person is carrying a gun, which is probable cause to search them to be sure. And if they find one, and the subject has no "carry permit," to arrest him/her. Any cop can walk down the street and KNOW who the "bad guys" are, just by their actions. Such as immediately turning away when they spot a cop. That's called a "suspicious action." One of the most effective "crime fighting" programs is in Baltimore, where they assign plainclothes detectives to "hang around" in areas known for gun violence, which places them "close by" when a gunfight breaks out, or one guy (or gal) shoots another. These programs have reduced gun violence in other cities where they are used, as well. Tthe detectives in the program use profiling as a major tool in finding potential bad guys who are illegally armed, or to be able to be close by when they shoot someone. They don't profile someone because they're black, as liberals insist. In the areas they patrol, EVERYBODY is black, as are most of the detectives, so they will not "stand out." Criminals want to ban profiling because it is such an effective tool to "keep them honest." (Hub)

Ridiculous Restrictions

Think about it. If an honest, law-abiding American found himself in a gun fight with a lawless individual who obeys NO laws, and that individual has all the bullets in his magazines as he wants, because he doesn't obey those "piffle laws" put out for the law-abiding to obey. Meanwhile, the law-abiding person only has FIVE bullets in his magazine before he has to reload--and while he's reloading, he is at a distinct disadvantage, and could even be KILLED. That's what the new governor in New Jersey wants. He wants to give a distinct advantage to those who obey NO laws in such a gun fight. He'll deny it to his dying day, but that's what he wants. You have to look at the EFFECT of his actions, not his protestations to the contrary. Many anti-gun fools say they "don't want to take away your guns," then go out and try to do just that, every day, even though they KNOW their silly laws do NOTHING to "reduce gun violence," and only INCREASE it by DISARMING the law-abiding, or saddling them with STUPID rules that put them in danger. We ask them WHY they do that, and they never answer. Or they give us the same crap they try to make us believe, every day. (NJ Legislature)

Gun Grabbers Hate It!

Accidental gun deaths are DOWN 50%! ALL violent crime is down, and has been for some time. NOT due to their useless anti-gun laws, of course, because those who wish to cause trouble IGNORE them. The lone exception is Baltimore, MD. Chicago is right up there, too. That's due to their extremely tight gun laws in both places. They DISARM law-abiding people while criminals, crazies, and Islamic terrorists still have no trouble getting their guns ILLEGALLY, since they don't obey gun laws. That's GOOD news, although you won't hear about it in the liberal "news" media. It doesn't fit their preconceived notions. The liberal media is generally AGAINST people being able to defend themselves against all those ILLEGAL guns carried by "bad guys." One of the things "experts" attribute it to is "a drop in the number of households with guns." Never mind gun purchases are WAY up, all over the country. One aspect they NEVER talk about is the fact that states with the tightest gun laws continue to have the highest gun deaths. That should tell them something, but it doesn't. That aren't intelligent enough for that. Teaching gun safety is a factor too, but they ignore it, only "reporting" that the NRA (the best source for that) did not return their calls. Attempting the Impossible

That's what the anti-gun fools are doing, every day. They really believe, in their ignorance, that making a LAW that says crooks can't be armed while committing their other crimes, will cause them to OBEY their laws, even while DISOBEYING all other laws, every day. It's an impossible dream, but they continue to pursue it. People who break laws for a living aren't going to obey their gun laws. Only the law-abiding do, and they aren't the problem. They obey gun laws, and are thus "easy targets" for those who DON'T obey laws. While pursuing this impossible dream, they don't have the time to come up with a REAL solution to the "gun violence" problem. They won't even consider one of the best solutions out there, arming the law-abiding, so they can shoot and kill some of those lawbreakers and by so doing, reduce gun violence generally--by getting rid of some of the illegally-armed criminals. Two Years' Wait

In Riverside, California, they've come up with a unique (unique?) way to limit the number of gun owners who can carry their guns. Just make 'em wait a long time to even be CONSIDERED. The guy in this story wanted to be able to carry a gun for protection against vicious animals in the wilderness, and applied for a permit. 28 months later, he's still waiting for the county to CONSIDER his application. The anti-gun fools make it as hard as possible to be able to exercise this constitutional RIGHT. You should not be required to get a PERMIT to be able to exercise a constitutional right. But the "powers that be" have decided that they have the right to REQUIRE one in order to carry a gun. The power to require a permit is the power to say "no." Meanwhile, they have the power to delay, delay, delay, hoping you'll just "give up" and go away. That is a usurpation of power, but nobody seems willing to do anything about it. (Desert Sun)

Lies, Lies, and Damned Lies!

The anti-cop fools continue to lie to get cops in trouble for doing their jobs, as they did in Ferguson, MO, where a cop shot and killed a giant thug while that thug was trying his best to kill him. That "hands up, don't shoot" crap they spouted was proven to be a lie, perpetrated by his thug friends. While it didn't get the cop jailed, it did cost him his job, and for what? For doing his job and protecting his own life. Here is the latest of many lies told to get cops in trouble, but unfortunately, for the liars, there was dash cam footage to PROVE them liars. It was a routine traffic stop with three subjects, one of which was clearly shown pulling a gun on the dash cam video. His "friends" lied, and said he was unarmed, had been "Tased," and was helpless. An obvious lie. Witnesses in such cases are usually only the "friends" of the victim, and without video evidence, can often make their lies stick, therefore ruining the lives of good cops who are only doing their jobs. This doesn't mean ALL such sroties are false, but that we should take them all with a "grain of salt," and not blindly believe the "testimony" of the victim's friends without other evidence. Cops don't set out to kill black men, but often are forced to do so in order to save their own lives, and the lives of other officers. Thugs will always try and incriminate the cops in such cases. Criminals Don't Obey Laws

Any laws; they're CRIMINALS, after all. They commit crimes much more serious than simple gun laws, so why in hell should they be concerned with breaking a piddling little anti-gun law? Anybody who denies this is INSANE. It is undeniable. But anti-gun fools deny it by their every attempt to make laws for criminals to disobey. And they do. Every time a gun is used to commit violence on a legally unarmed populace, they demand more unenforceable anti-gun laws. Meanwhile criminals, and other bad guys routinely IGNORE them, giving them a distinct advantage over law-abiding people, who DO obey laws. A recent arrest in Chicago, one of the tightest gun laws cities in the nation, is an indicator. The perp was subject to MANY anti-gun laws. He was a known felon and drug dealer. Yet he had MANY guns, SOLD guns ILLEGALLY to other criminals, and sold drugs. The judge refused to grant bail because of the seriousness of the charges, which showed "hard core" criminality, and the knowledge he was a flight risk. And this is not an uncommon situation. Criminals are arrested with their illegally-obtained guns every day. the answer is to arm the law-abiding, but the anti-gun fools won't hear of it. Dems' Exciting New Hope

The Dumocrats are really scraping the bottom of the barrel in their quest to find someone, ANYONE to be their "standard bearer" in the 2020 elections. After Oprah Winfrey made a "stirring speech" about the success of the sexual misconduct thing in Hollywood, instantly, Dumocrats seized upon Oprah to be a presidential candidate. Problem is, we know NOTHING about her political views, except they seem to be in line with the rest of the Hollywood liberals. And she also supports the liberal anti-gun fool laws that do NOTHING to limit gun violence. They must really be desperate if they think Oprah has a "snowball's chance in hell" of beating President Trump. They say Trump FEARS Oprah, but that's only in their fevered brains. They try and compare her to Trump, since both are TV performers. But she has NO knowledge or experience in running a massive bureaucracy, nor what to do about major problems. Trump does. (NRA-ILA)

Criminals Don't Obey Laws

Anybody who denies this is INSANE. It is undeniable. But anti-gun fools deny it by their every attempt to make laws for criminals to disobey. And they do. Every time a gun is used to commit violence on a legally unarmed populace, they demand more unenforceable anti-gun laws. Meanwhile criminals, and other bad guys routinely IGNORE them, giving them a distinct advantage over law-abiding people, who DO obey laws. A recent arrest in Chicago, one of the tightest gun laws cities in the nation, is an indicator. The perp was subject to MANY anti-gun laws. He was a known felon and drug dealer. Yet he had MANY guns, SOLD guns ILLEGALLY to other criminals, and sold drugs. The judge refused to grant bail because of the seriousness of the charges, which showed "hard core" criminality, and the knowledge he was a flight risk. And this is not an uncommon situation. Criminals are arrested with their illegally-obtained guns every day. the answer is to arm the law-abiding, but the anti-gun fools won't hear of it. They act like they don't know there are millions of criminals carrying guns, right now, and law-abiding people cannot defend against them. (Bearing Arms)
