"We Must Pass Something!"

That’s the cry from legislators all over the country, and in DC. Anti-gun fools are demanding it. They don’t know what, if any laws will actually work, but they want them to “pass something” so they can say they’re doing something, even though they’re not. There is not a single law that will stop gun violence that I know of, and neither do they. But they “flail around” insisting that the legislatures “pass something,” ANYTHING they can use to say they’re “doing something” about gun violence. Meanwhile, the unintended consequences of those laws gets law-abiding people killed, because it disarms them in the face of the millions of ILLEGAL guns, already out there. When a criminal comes at you with his illegal gun, unless you have a gun to use in opposing him, you’re dead. But the anti-gun fools don’t care about that. They just want to eliminate all guns from existence. An impossible dream, but that’s what they want. They even want to disarm the cops! The only people who are standing between us and the criminals, with their illegal guns. IF they can get there in time, that is. The anti-gun fools tell us the cops can protect us, and they’re WRONG. And the cops will be the first to agree. They can’t be everywhere at once, and in the sometimes few minutes it takes for them to arrive, a shooter can kill a lot of people. That is a given. If somebody there has a gun, you don’t have to wait for the cops to arrive with their guns. As an example, in one of the latest mass shootings, the cops were there in seconds, and the shooter still killed four people. They we not protected. (Lexington Herald-Leader)
