Sorry About That

No updates yesterday because my computer is acting up. I was not able to get it to do anything on the Internet. It's just barely working tonight. I'll have to take it to my computer guy. So don't be surprised if I miss some more days soon. I don't think the problem is with my computer, since the word processing works normally. If a new computer is required, I'll get one.

Slow Weekend In Chicago

Only 2 killed, and 21 wounded, including a 3-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. The weekend numbers of wounded and killed in Chicago are usually much higher. Of course, since Chicago is one of the tightest gun law cities in the country, it's not surprising that so many die of "gun violence" there, since they have DISARMED the law-abiding people and left the way open to the ILLEGAL gun wielders such as gang members, who accidentally kill everybody around them while fighting with other gang members over their "turf." That NONE of those gang members are licensed gun carriers goes without saying, since most of them are too young to legally carry a gun, anyway, and they don't usually bother with that. We've tried and tried to pound this into the thick skulls of politicians there, but to no avail. Their "minds" are made up, so don't confuse them with facts. (CBS Chicago)

I Knew It Was Coming

Word is now, the Second Amendment was created just to keep slaves down! To promote the existence of the "Slave Patrols" that went out and found runaway slaves. They were made up of slave owning and slave approving individuals, and they wanted to guarantee that they were armed. That makes it a "racist issue," and you know what is the favorite epithet used by the left: "racist!" EVERYTHING is racist, and now even the Second Amendment is racist. Never mind people wanted to be able to defend themselves when an outlaw came to kill them and steal what is theirs--they only wanted to preserve racism! What it comes down to is that the left has found yet another "reason" not to like the Second Amendment, and a reason to REPEAL it. It'll never work, but they think it might, so they gotta try. We Already Have It!

Pro gun people keep harping on stopping the anti-gun fools in government from having a ready list of gun owners to use when they get ready to "confiscate" (steal) all our guns. But what they don't consider is the fact that we already HAVE a "gun registry" for law-abiding people. Has anybody tried to buy a gun legally without having to go through a "background check" and a visit from the local cops to determine whether or not he/she is a criminal wanting to buy a gun (as if criminals bought their guns legally)? They say all those lists are LOCAL, and not part of a national registry. They also say they don't keep those names. If you believe that, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I want to sell you. How easy would it be for the feds to "mandate" state and local governments to "turn over" those records so they could create a "national gun owner registry" in violation of the law? There IS a law banning the government from starting NEW databases for anything, which they regularly violate. Does anybody think they would stop at violating that law here? (Just common sense)

Another Useless Gun Law

Chris Murphy (D-CT) has introduced a bill that he, himself admits would have done NOTHING to stop the Las Vegas shooter. His bill would call for background checks to be expanded from retail sales to private sales. Of course, the Las Vegas shooter, who had no previous criminal record, PASSED several background checks when he LEGALLY bought his guns. In any case, all background checks do is keep such people (IF thy have a criminal record) from buying guns LEGALLY. So, of course, they will then buy them ILLEGALLY. Background checks, in any case, have proven to be completely INEFFECTIVE in stopping any of MANY mass shootings. They're a waste of time, and add to the travails suffered by law-abiding people in buying guns for self defense. As are "gun-free zones." Just about every mass shooting, including that in Las Vegas, were done IN "gun-free zones." Convicted mass shooters ADMIT that they PREFER gun-free zones in which to do their dirty work. (Breitbart)

Gun Control Is Useless

It doesn't stop crime. It INCREASES crime by disarming honest, law-abiding citizens, making them "sitting ducks" for all the criminals and other bad guys who want to victimize them. Chicago is one of the best examples in that, with all their tight anti-gun laws (some so tight they're unconstitutional), they continue to have one of the highest gun crime rates in the nation. But they're not alone. Other cities with similar tight anti-gun laws have a similar problem with high gun violence rates. Cities like this with their tight anti-gun laws and a smaller number of legal guns have higher gun crime rates, while rural ares, with more legal guns tend to have much less gun crime. You'd think that would cause politicians to change their opinion about passing anti-gun laws and look for other solutions to the "gun problem." It won't. They're fixated on their efforts to DISARM America, and won't be dissuaded by facts. They won't be happy until every LEGAL gun is "gotten rid of," and only criminals, with their ILLEGAL guns are the only ones left. Of course, that'll never happen. Self Defense Is "Gun Violece"

I guess there just isn't enough real "gun violence" to support the anti-gun fools' efforts to disarm America, so they have to MANUFACTURE it. They do so by lumping incidents of self defense in with all shootings, including gang wars and murder, calling it all "gun violence," to pad their numbers. In connecting these, they get numbers that allow them to lie and say that "concealed carry causes more murders." The truth is, increased numbers of shootings involving legally carried guns, done for self defense, IMPROVES the murder rate by having lawful gun owners kill the criminals and other "bad guys" who try to victimize them. This is just one way they lie to us about taking away our right to self defense. It galls me whenever I hear about the phony numbers they put out to fool gullible people into supporting their unconstitutional efforts. Frankly, I'd take every set of numbers with a BIG "grain of salt." They can't be trusted to tell the truth. (The Trace) Is an anti-gun fool publication.

"Second Amendment Irrelevant"

Professor Neil Buchanan thinks the Second Amendment is irrelevant to the "gun debate." Of course, that's an IGNORANT assumption, but I expect such from a professor at a university catering to political elites. He says, since the laws don't BAN guns, the Second doesn't apply. There's a reason those laws work only on the periphery of "gun control." The Second PROHIBITS outright BANS on guns, so they do all they can to INFRINGE on that constitutional right and making guns impossible to use, due to their infringements. You don't have to BAN guns if you can make them useless. The Constitution prohibits ANY ABRIDGMENT on the right of all Americans to be armed. And every law they've made so far is an abridgment on that right. This is a typical effort by an anti-gun fool to confuse people who don't pay attention to politics until just before an election, and then they vote. (AmmoLand)

"Not A Second Amendment Issue"

Anti-gun fool Julienne Moore told the other fools on "The View" the other day, that "gun control is not a Second Amendment issue." Thus displaying, once again, her abysmal IGNORANCE on the issue. Gun control IS a Second Amendment issue as they practice it. Their basic goal is the complete ELIMINATION of all guns they can find (So what if criminals still have their illegal guns). That's a Second Amendment issue. They can't just BAN guns, so they go to work around the edges, banning certain gun accessories, naming places where guns can't be taken, trying to force everybody who buys a gun to submit to being listed in a gun registry, etc. These are peripheral issues and, as such, may not be a Second Amendment issue, but what they hope they lead to, IS. They want us to believe it isn't, so they can work, behind the scenes, to take away our right to self defense by making it illegal to even OWN a gun. But we're onto them, which is why they FAIL so often in their efforts to disarm all Americans. But their efforts do get a lot of people killed by making them DEFENSELESS against all the millions of ILLEGAL guns out there. (Daily Caller)

The NRA Myth

The anti-gun fools are fond of accusing the NRA of "buying votes," but the TRUTH is, THEY are the ones who buy votes, in many ways, not just with money. As an example, former NY Mayor Bloomberg, one of the biggest gun control fools, recently pumped ANOTHER $700,000.00 into several Virginia races. "Contributions (bribes)" to get their votes. In other cases, they pay the air fare for politician's travel, or just invite the politician (and his girlfriend) to a specific dinner, and that's enough to get his Vote. But the NRA doesn't need to do that, because they're fighting a battle supported by a majority of Americans against a very small (but rich) MINORITY that wants to remove a constitutional right, by "hook or crook." NRA members are very much involved, and contact their representatives regularly. One anti-gun fool politician once described their efforts as "stupid postcard campaigns." 3 Million Carry Guns

The American Journal of Public Health did a survey recently, that told them that 3 million people carried guns concealed often. Sometimes daily. The most often cited motivation was self defense (surprise, surprise!). What they didn't talk about was the number of people who carried loaded guns daily ILLEGALLY, which, if I'm any judge, EXCEEDS the number who carry legally. But, of course, they ignore those numbers, just as the anti-gun fools ignore those who carry illegally while making their laws. Lawbreakers don't obey laws. That's a FACT, not an opinion. A fact that they ignore while making their silly, useless laws. Laws that are useless to do anything except make the law-abiding "sitting ducks" to be victimized by those who don't obey gun laws, or any other kind of law. (AJPH)

Good Gun Use: No Press

There are many stories of "righteous" gun use every day, but they get no media attention because they don't promote the anti-gun bias in the liberal media. Every time some crazy gets a few guns and kills a few people it is wall-to-wall news for days, sometimes longer. But when somebody uses a gun to PROTECT somebody, or themselves, the liberal media is strangely silent. So is the "social media," which is largely controlled by liberals. Example: A Detroit man, who was a licensed carrier, was accosted by a gun-wielding criminal on the street, and immediately shot him. Surprise, surprise! The illegally armed criminal tried to rob the wrong man, and wound up in the hospital, instead of becoming a murderer that day. It made the LOCAL news (but nowhere else), where they marveled at the story, wondering if the licensed concealed carrier would be facing any charges for shooting that thug. The thug's mother was angry at being denied access to her son, and couldn't figure out why. Moms never think their progeny could be guilty of a crime. In Chicago, a "model for gun control laws," and the "world's biggest illegal shooting range," a man broke into a house and was immediately shot by a licensed gun owner. Again, it was covered by LOCAL news, but nowhere else. There are many such stories, but we'll never hear them because the liberal media will not cover them. (Truth About Guns)

Ya Think, Chuckie?

Chuckie Schumer, MINORITY leader in the Senate, says the Dumocrats "don't need to get bogged down in the gun control debate" because it may "come back to bite them" in future elections. It's okay to "get bogged down in the gun control debate" when you've already been elected and your position is somewhat secure, of course. Of course, his opinion ADMITS something important, that he did not wish to admit: that gun control was AGAINST what the electorate wanted, and they wanted them to forget that Dumocrats WILL support gun control at every opportunity--in Congress, just not while trying to be elected or re-elected. They want to keep that hidden until it's too late and they can slip their fool gun laws in before we notice. And we're more likely to notice, just before an election, since that's when those who "pay no attention to politics" DO pay attention. (The Hill)

....And Nobody Came

In Massachusetts, they called a meeting about "bump stocks" and other accessories to make guns fire faster AFTER passing a law to more tightly regulate them....and nobody came, except the politicians. The Las Vegas shooting happened on October 1, and their laws (two of them) were passed on October 11, and 12. I don't think we've ever before seen a legislature act as fast. Never mind that such bans will not stop a single mass shooting. They "did something," even if it was USELESS. Anybody who thinks a LAW will stop somebody intent on KILLING a bunch of people from getting the guns they need is an imbecile. The pro-gun people didn't come because they saw no need to discuss what was already done. Nobody else was interested. As usual, they couldn't come up with something that would actually WORK, so they did the best they could, which amounted to nothing, while further restricting our rights under the Constitution. Can't Ban Guns?

Go after parts. In one case, adding one part made the gun ONE INCH past the "legal limit," making it an illegal gun. Other parts have too much plastic, making it impossible to detect by airport scanners. So that makes them illegal. Outlawing "bump stocks" is just the beginning for the anti-fun fools. Soon they'll be banning integral parts that make legal guns able to fire, period. If they can't just BAN guns entirely, make them impossible to use. That's their new plan. Firing pins, for instance. Currently, firing pins are still legal, but I'm sure they're "eyeing" them, knowing if they can ban them, that makes a gun useless. And their basic goal is disarming ALL law-abiding Americans, leaving them DEFENSELESS against the millions of ILLEGAL guns already out there, in the hands of the "bad guys." They can't tell us how that makes us safer, because it doesn't. So they just insult us and call us nasty names, like "gun nuts" because we want to be able to defend ourselves. (Truth About Guns)

She Died of Gun Control

Gun control advocates don't like to talk about Carol Brown. That's because she died BECAUSE of restrictive gun laws. She PLEADED for the right to have a gun to defend herself against an abusive man, and was refused. They made her wait, and while waiting, she died. She abided by the law, and she died. I remember a similar case in Denver, Colorado, where a woman who was threatened asked for the right to be armed in self defense and was made to wait. While waiting, she bought a gun illegally, and when a man came to kill her, she killed him, instead. That should have happened here, but this woman abided by the law, and doing so KILLED her. I don't know how many different ways I can say this, but self defense is NOT accomplished by disarming yourself. It's a simple concept, but one that escapes anti-gun fools. They appear to be unable to grasp this simple thing--and they are able to make laws to restrict our constitutional right to be armed in self defense, in their ignorance. (Slow Facts)

"Repeal the Second Amendment!"

That's what the panicked liberals at the New York Times are telling us. If they have ANY vestiges of intelligence left, they must know that will not do a single thing to "stem gun violence," in any way. But "getting rid of guns" in the hands of law-abiding people is always the answer to New York liberals. They also know that will not work, but they still scream for "impossible solutions." It's a good thing it takes a lot more than the abysmal IGNORANCE of New York liberals to get the Constitution changed, including the votes of 2/3 of the states. That means human beings get to vote on that idea, and throw it in the trash, where it belongs. In their fuddled minds they think repealing the Second Amendment will DO SOMETHING to stop people like the Las Vegas killer. It will not. He would just buy his guns ILLEGALLY, as most criminals and other evil doers do on a regular basis, or steal them, thus making their panicked reaction USELESS as are all the current laws against law-abiding people owning and using guns for self defense. Creating Gun Violence

There's no more effective way to guarantee more gun violence than to attempt to take away the constitutional right to be armed in the United States. The British tried it in the colonies and sparked a revolution that created a free country while separating the colonies from British rule. Glenn Reynolds said it well: "There’s nothing that would provoke more 'gun violence' than an attempt to seize guns. But gun control isn’t about preventing violence, it’s about forcing those rubes in Flyover Country to knuckle under." That's the general opinion in DC, that people living in "Flyover Country" are simply "rubes." Those denizens of DC think they're smarter than everybody else, but they aren't. It's a known fact that the stupid aren't aware that they're stupid because of their stupidity. And anti-gun fools fit that description. It is definitely true that any attempt to BAN guns altogether WILL result in gun violence because Americans jealously guard that right, which is guaranteed by the Constitution. "We Must Do Something!"

It doesn't matter if it does nothing to stop mass shootings from ever happening again. We must do something, ANYTHING to make it LOOK like we're doing something that will stop it, even if it does not, and we know it does not. That's what the liberals are saying as they demand more and more stupid gun laws that accomplish NOTHING. They have to know that none of the laws they have already foisted upon us have done ANYTHING to "stem gun violence," in any way. In fact, they have caused it to INCREASE, since they are DISARMING law-abiding people and making them "sitting ducks" for those who do NOT obey their insipid, USELESS laws. They don't really care how many guns are out there, as long as they can increase their CONTROL over what decisions we can make, taking them for their own. All About Control

The anti-gun fools tell us their activities to violate the Second Amendment of the Constitution is to "keep guns out of the hands of the evil doers." They are NOT. They have to know, if they have ANY intelligence at all--and I don't think they are all stupid, That none of their "common sense gun laws" do ANYTHING to "keep guns out of the hands of evil doers." But they DO keep them out of the hands of honest, law-abiding citizens, making them into "easy targets." Their laws DEPEND on LAWBREAKERS to obey them. what makes them think somebody who breaks laws for a living will suddenly, magically, OBEY their laws, is beyond my comprehension. It's all about CONTROL of your actions and your right to make your own decisions. Every law liberals MAKE is designed to do that. Anti-Gun Fool Lies

The anti-gun fools never tire of lying to us about guns, hoping we'll believe them. One glaring example is their spewing the "number of gun deaths" at 35.000 per year. What they don't tell us is that 20.000 of them are due to suicide. And a large number of what's left are "righteous shootings," in self defense. After that, come shootings by criminals and other kinds of "bad guys," who do their shootings with already illegal guns. They think they can eliminate suicide by eliminating guns. That's an imbecilic response. Those who really wish to end their lives will find a way. They can slit their wrists, or take a bunch or sleeping pills. Or they could jump off a cliff or run in front of a speeding car, as many have done. Likewise, those who wish to commit a crime will also find a way. Eliminating guns will do NOTHING to eliminate suicides, OR crime. But they aren't intelligent enough to realize this. After you eliminate suicides and "righteous shootings" in self defense, you have 15,000 cases of gang members killing each other over "turf." For my part, that is "good riddance." That may be harsh, but they ACCIDENTALLY kill way too many innocent people in their cross-fire while hopefully killing themselves off. (San Diego Union-Tribune)

Well, No Kidding!

The Bradenton Herald actually printed a letter to the editor that went against the usual agenda that "criminals obey gun laws." That's the point of the whole letter: that criminals and crazies DON'T obey gun laws. And why should they? They violate every other kind of a law, so why should they suddenly obey a gun law? When cops are asked, almost all the felons they arrest are in possession of a gun. How is that? Felons aren't allowed to have guns! So they just disobey the law! Outrageous! Lawbreakers not obeying laws? Whoda thunkit? The fact that anti-gun fools will not accept, is that lawbreakers routinely IGNORE all their laws that say they can't have a gun. So they ignorantly insist on still making the same INEFFECTIVE laws, over and over again, and then wonder why criminals are still using guns they get illegally. It is this kind of stupidity that makes "sitting ducks" out of people who DO obey laws. It's a known fact (to those with intelligence, anyway) that gun laws only apply to the law-abiding. Most Gun Deaths Suicides

The liberal media likes to give you the "news" in a misleading way, like their recent story about gun deaths being "more numerous that all the gun deaths in recent wars." That might be true. But the only problem is that is is totally MISLEADING, since 2/3 of all gun deaths are SUICIDES, with murder being only about 1/3 to 1/4 of the total gun deaths--and those were mostly not committed by "the average person," but were committed by rival gang members killing each other in "turf wars," as in Chicago and other cities with tough gun laws. This is how they get you all alarmed about something NO LAW could possibly prevent. Yes, suicide is not illegal. There's a reason for that. Who would you punish? The lawbreaker would be DEAD. Up Against the Wall!

Anti-gun fools are like a kid throwing his skivvies up against the wall to see if they stick so he'll know if he had a good time, since he was so drunk he couldn't remember. Every time some fool like the killer in Las Vegas opens fire on somebody, they want to ban something else. Never mind what they ban does NOTHING to reduce gun violence, because they're (as usual) missing the target by blaming the GUN, not the PERSON. They seem to think that somebody who is contemplating the very worst kind of a crime will, somehow, OBEY their piddling little laws and by that, be stopped in his tracks. It doesn't occur to them, in their IGNORANCE, that he just doesn't give a damn about ANY laws, since what he is contemplating is the very worst kind of a crime. Hillary Is Clueless

Within MINUTES of the begging of the Las Vegas massacre, even while authorities were still removing bodies, she had the temerity to advance the current narrative about "silencers," saying, in her IGNORANCE, that if the shooter had had a silencer, many more would have died because they couldn't hear the shots. What an absolute IMBECILE this woman is! First of all, you can't put a suppressor on such a gun. It would melt the barrel. Second, a "silencer" is NOT "silent." It's as loud as a triphammer, which is not "silent." It just is not quite AS loud as a gunshot. And what kind of law would have stopped this massacre? I don't think she has a clue. Every time she opens her pie hole, stupid comes out. If she had won the election and become president, it would not take her long to destroy this country as a free country, with her stupidity. Columbus Day Boycott

The first thing I heard on turning on the TV today was some fool asking the question, "Should we still celebrate Columbus Day?" all because some liberal damned fool (a repetition, there) said we should not. I'm getting very tired of the STUPID things the liberals are trying to DICTATE we do, Yes, Columbus might have done some things that weren't the best, But he WAS an explorer of note, even if discovering America WAS an accident. Anybody who does what liberals "order' him to do is a fool. Everything liberals try and foist upon us is STUPID. Everything they promote is contrary to common sense. Like men in women's restrooms. And allowing gays to destroy the very MEANING of the word "marriage" by using it to describe their "unions." They've been offered everything a marriage entails, but under a different name, and have refused, thereby revealing their real purpose. And then there's "gun control," which is a misnomer. They just want to disarm Americans and make them defenseless when "federal agents" come to take their belongings. I could go on and on, but I won't. I'm sure you have a few of your own favorites. Yes, It Does!

Noted firearms expert (sic) Nicholle Wallace, infobabe at MSNBC, says that the Second Amendment was "designed to fight foreign militias, not create an armed populace." What an ignorant statement that is! Just who does she think would be a bar to foreign militias, if not an armed populace? It really frosts me how ignorant people like Nicholle think they know what the intentions of the Founders were. They do that simply to promote their wish to disarm America. The Founders wanted ALL Americans to gave the RIGHT to own and use firearms for self defense as WELL as for the defense of the country (ergo: against foreign militias). At the time of the writing of the Constitution, it was common for everybody to be armed (except in Eastern cities), not only for hunting to put food on the table, but also to defend themselves against all comers (including dangerous animals, and the two-legged kind), if necessary.

 They wanted everybody to be armed so they could bring their own guns if called up (the government, at the time, was not the money-rich entity it is now, and could not arm everybody). Somehow that got lost as Eastern city-dwellers, who depended on the cops to defend them (sometimes to their detriment), prevailed in getting laws passed to limit gun ownership and use by citizens. It was not logical, but nothing those people (liberals) do is logical. They're always promoting illogical things, such as MEN in women's restrooms, and men marrying men or women marrying women (which, if it grows in popularity will reduce, or maybe even eliminate population growth), or the very idea that making laws can stop neer-do-wells from getting and using guns to victimize the law-abiding. Note the overbearing nature of the very NAME of this source. They tell lies and label it as truth. (Blunt Force Truth)

Incredibly Stupid People!

 I'm talking about those people who believe they can eliminate crime by making guns illegal. That all they have to do is make a law, and law-breakers will somehow OBEY it. The depths of stupidity that shows is amazing! They make "gun-free zones" that become "killing fields" because the "bad guys" can be pretty sure the law-abiding people there will not be armed and will be "sitting ducks" for them. People who have already violated their "gun-free zones" willingly tell us that they SEEK OUT those places for that reason. They make laws about "safe storage" of guns at home, that make it difficult, or impossible to get their guns into operation quick enough to defend against the owner of an ILLEGAL gun come to victimize them. These are people who firmly believe that the way to self defense is to DISARM yourself. How stupid is that? Not a SINGLE law they have made, so far, has ever done ANYTHING to reduce gun violence because they depend on people who break laws daily to somehow OBEY their insipid little laws. Only the law-abiding do, which makes them "sitting ducks." (Just common sense)

What's the Answer?

Something "clicked over" on the day of the Columbine killings and mass shootings increased measurably since. Islamic terrorism is partly to blame, but not all the mass shooters in America have been Islamic terrorists. I don't really know what started it, and what has caused it to increase so much except for the "victimization" Dumocrats push to get votes. Due to disagreement in reporting agencies on the definition of mass shootings, they list 270 mass shootings in America, just in 2017. But the problem there is, due to the definition used, many simple crime shootings have been conflated with the real mass shootings to get this number. The answer is NOT more gun laws. the ones now in effect have done absolutely NOTHING to prevent mass shootings. The killer in Las Vegas, for instance, bought all his guns legally because he had NO criminal history.

Many other shooters did likewise, for the same reason. Those who could not get them legally either bought them ILLEGALLY from another criminal in a back alley somewhere, or just STOLE them (the Aurora theater killings). In any case, you can't just BAN GUNS in America because the Constitution forbids it. And you can't just change the Constitution ro eliminate the Second Amendment. You would never get 2/3 of the states to ratify it, even if you could get it through Congress. Even if you could, that would still not do it because of the thriving black market in guns in this country, and others. And potential mass shooters are not concerned with piddling anti-gun laws because they plan a crime much worse than that--many of them don't even worry about any laws giving them longer prison sentences for using a gun in a crime where they have them, and they mostly don't even enforce them.

They use them as "bargaining chips" to get convictions in other crimes. And still potential mass shooters will not care about how many laws they violate in getting their guns since they plan to kill a bunch or people, and maybe even expect to die themselves as a result. In most mass shootings, allowing more law-abiding people to be armed in self defense would do--but not always. In Las Vegas, the shooter was 32 stories up and mostly inaccessible. When the cops finally broke into his room, he had killed himself. Potental mass shooters usually give off SOME signs as they prepare for their crime. (The shooter at Ft. Hood, for instance, did so many ways, but was ignored). If we are alert for these signs, maybe we can prevent some of the shootings. But not all, because some give no signs, at all. The first sign is when he begins killing people.

We need to stop "targeting the guns" and start looking for ways to spot potential mass shooters BEFORE he carries out his evil plan--IF that's even possible. It'll need much more of "police state" than we now have to do that. The only thing I can think of that will be even partially successful is more law-abiding peole legally carrying their own guns so they can (in most cases) shoot the shooter before he can kill as many people as he wishes. But the anti-gun fools will not hear of that. They think (wrongly) that law-abiding people being armed in self defense is a "bad thing, That they will "go crazy" if they have a gun in their pocket and shoot each other over trifles. Some illegal gun owners do that, but they are of a different mindset, being criminals. (ABC 15 Arizona)
