George Orwell wrote
not one, but
TWO prophetic books. "1984," which
described a society run by a dictator
(called, "Big Brother")
who so fully controlled the news that the "hero" of the
story had the job of "rewriting history" until he rebelled
and was "dealt with." The second
was, "Animal Farm," where the animals could think and talk
like humans, and took over the farm. Everything was fine until one
animal bunch (politicians,
of course) figured
out that they could "Lord it over" the rest by twisting the
things they told the others. Finally, they put out the word that,
"All animals are equal, but some animals are MORE equal than
others."
Which caused a revolution in which they were overthrown.
Wanna
guess which animals
were the ones to which they referred? Now that is coming true, in the
"gun debate." One Dumocrat says he is okay with only the
rich being able to afford the high "gun tax" that was being
proposed. Illinois
Rep. Danny Davis has introduced a bill that, if it becomes law, would
apply a 50% TAX on ammunition and some
guns,
a 20% tax on others. He frankly says the idea
is to "make it harder" for the less wealthy people
to afford a gun OR ammunition.
They CANNOT just BAN GUNS altogether, so they do everything they can
to stop people from buying them.
He typically says this tax would "provide money to reduce gun
violence and pay for "gun violence mitigation." Their usual
excuse. And as usual, would do NOTHING to stop gun violence. (Daily Caller)
