Individuals, and politicians with limited intelligence keep blaming guns for “gun crime,” when they should be blaming the HOLDER of the gun for the crime, and trying to figure out something to do about that, instead of pursuing their futile quest to make all millions of guns (only the legal ones) in existence disappear, ignoring the millions of ILLEGAL guns in the hands of those with criminal intentions. There isn’t a single “gun control law” that has done ANYTHING, ever, to stop, or even slow down “gun crime,” because those with criminal intent do not get their guns legally, nor do they stand for background checks. Waiting periods and “safe storage” laws only get innocent people killed, since criminals do not recognize them, and come with their guns ready. Gun buybacks are also futile, since the criminals bring in old, unserviceable guns, then take the money and buy newer, serviceable guns, with which to victimize the law-abiding, who obey such laws, knowing they don’t accomplish anything. Therein lies the futility in these laws. They only serve to disarm the law-abiding, while the law-breakers take advantage of that in committing their “gun crime.” I’ve written this many, many times, and the anti-gun fools ignore me and keep on making these useless laws while people of intelligence shake their heads, as long as they have them before some criminal shoots their head off with his illegal gun. (Just common sense)
