careful. If you try and defend yourself from armed criminals, YOU may be
charged with a crime, unless you have “jumped through all the hoops” required
to get a “carry permit.” The story doesn’t say if the two store clerks were
legally armed, but I’d guess they were, since they haven’t yet been charged
with a crime (yet) while defending themselves. Remember, Mayor Rahm Emmanuel thinks
only HE should have the right to self-defense. He can afford to hire it (with
OUR money). Usually, convenience store workers (who are the most likely to be
robbed, especially on the night shift) are barred from being armed, by COMPANY
policy if not by law. If so in this case, these guys are in a lot of trouble
