Anti-gun fools say so. But many police executives (who should know),
including the chief of the DC cops, don't agree, because they know you
can be killed BEFORE they can even get there. “With
officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is
no longer your best option [if it ever was -RT]. You could beg for mercy from a violent
criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back… You have a
duty to protect yourself and your family. We’re partners now. Can I
count on you?”
That's
what DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier said. The sheriff of Milwaukee
County said something similar. Calling 911 is not an option when a
criminal is staring you in the face holding a gun on you. You can end
up DEAD if you even TRY. But if you have your own gun, you might
survive. If there had been several people in that Paris concert hall
with guns, maybe there wouldn't have been as many dead. And there
